TEAM RWB

Competitive swimming is a challenging and thrilling sport that requires endurance, speed, and precision. Swimmers train to improve their technique, strength, and stamina in order to compete against other athletes. Participants compete in various events like freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly strokes, each requiring their unique physical and mental stamina. The competition is fierce and the race for the finish line is always tight. Competitive swimming is not just about winning, it's about overcoming obstacles, staying focused, and pursuing excellence.

In 2018, RWB Academy started its competitive swim team; as of December 2025 Team RWB is now the #1 Ranked team in Trinidad & Tobago.

POLICY UPDATE New Membership – Swim Team

Effective January 1, 2026 and until further notice, RWB Aquatic Academy will update its registration policy for our competitive swim team. To support the growth of our program, we will not accept competitive swimmers if their last club affiliation was with an ASATT (Aquatics Sports Association of Trinidad and Tobago)-registered club. However, we will welcome:

  • Foreign-Based Athletes: Swimmers residing outside the country and not currently affiliated with an ASATT club.

  • New Athletes: Individuals who are not registered with ASATT and have come from a learn-to-swim or developmental program.

  • Former ASATT-Affiliated Swimmers: Those who have not competed in ASATT events for one year or more.

Our vibrant learn-to-swim program serves both private individuals and schools, and we are committed to reserving limited spots in our competitive club for these swimmers. At just seven years old, our competitive arm remains young, and our priority is to nurture those who have started their swimming journey with us. Competitive athletes from other clubs are welcome to attend our clinics and camps.

We appreciate the understanding of all athletes and families as we implement these changes to support the development of homegrown talent.

SWIM TEAM STRUCTURE & FEES

Team RWB is the competitive swim arm of RWB Aquatic Academy. The following are our groupings and respective rates:

  1. RED: Developmental swimmers who have not yet achieved competitive status

  2. WHITE: For 10 & under competitive swimmers and any 11 & over athletes with limited competitive experience

  3. BLACK: Senior group (11 & over), many pursuing national or university team opportunities

FEE STRUCTURE

Monthly Fees

RED* - $500

WHITE - $600

BLACK - $700

 

Quarterly Fees

RED* - $1300

WHITE - $1600

BLACK - $1900

​

OTHER FEES

  • Annual Family Fee: $150 per year + $100 per swimmer for ASATT (due by January 15th).

  • Foreign-Based Fee:

    • Additional $900 annual fee

    • $150 monthly deduction on swim fee if athlete trains at home

  • Membership Retainer Fee:

    • For breaks up to 2 months

    • Monthly fee = 20% of monthly rate or $100 (whichever is greater)

    • 30 days’ notice required or full monthly fee applies

RED Group Option: 1–2 sessions per week at $400 per month

  • Family Discount:

    • $50 off monthly fee for families with 2+ swimmers

    • $100 off quarterly fee

  • Gym: Parents receive $50 off at the compound gym

  • Camps: Minimum 10% discount on JAVA and other holiday camps

  • Learn to Swim:

    • Immediate family pays loyalty price on first registration

    • 10% off loyalty fee for subsequent cycles

  • Team Jersey: One free jersey annually

  • Swimwear: 15% discount on swimwear and goggles from the swim shop

  • Additional partnerships are being developed to enhance membership benefits

PAYMENT TERMS

  • Quarterly periods:

    • Oct–Dec

    • Jan–Mar

    • Apr–Jun

    • Jul–Sep

  • Payment Deadline:

    • Fees due by the 5th of each month

    • Quarterly fees due by the 5th of the first month of the quarter

    • Payments after the 7th incur a 10% late fee

ABSENCE POLICY

  • Illness/Injury:

    • For absences longer than 2 weeks due to serious illness/injury

    • Account adjustments may be considered for the following month

    • Parents must email info@rwbacademy.com within 7 days of initial absence

  • Other Absences:

    • No waivers/discounts after the fact

    • Retainer fee rules apply (see earlier section)
